Up to 30 m high tree with a conical crown and 6-12 cm long green-blue needles. The largest cones of all pines, reaching a length of 15-18 cm. The seeds are larger than European and Siberian cedar. Like all pine trees, especially in compacted plantations, Scleroderris canker can develop.
