In the wild, as the name suggests, grows in North America, reaching a length of 20-30 m. The oldest specimens in Latvia have so far been up to about 15 m high. The diameter of the wide conical crown can reach 6 m. Relatively small, shiny dark green needles with gray-white underside. Small, very decorative cones that can be used in floristics. Very unique and decorative conifer.
