Shrub-like summer-green liana, trunk 6-8 m long, trunk and shoots dark green, bark aromatic, leaves heart-shaped, 10 - 30 cm long, bare at the top, slightly hairy at the bottom, later bare. Flowers with purple-brown, 1.5 - 2 cm wide triangular border and yellow-green, about 3 cm long, U-shaped convex tube (hence the name pipevine), 3 - 5 cm long at the end of the stems. Blooms in June. Fruit 6-8 cm long, drooping in the beak, resembling a cucumber. The seeds ripen in late September, October. Used for landscaping vertical walls. Planted on the south, west and east sides of the building, planting distance 1 m. Very decorative with large heart-shaped leaves, peculiar flowers and fruits.
