Forms a medium-dense underground leaf rosette and sparsely spaced low-leafed inflorescences with a flower vase at the end. Height of foliage 30-60 cm, inflorescences 80-100 cm. Leaves summer-green, finely hairy. The flowers are large, cup-shaped, turned upwards, dark red, one at the end of the inflorescence. Blooms in June. Long-lasting perennial. Self-seeding possible. Suitable for growing in a sunny place, in moderately dry moderately moist hollow, permeable weakly acidic to weakly calcareous soil. Low maintenance.
