Yellow Or Honeysuckle Azalea /Rhododendron Luteum/
Summer-green, 1-4 m tall shrub. Flowers in inflorescences 7-12, funnel-shaped, yellow, strongly fragrant. Blooms in the second half of May, in June. The leaves are 6-12 cm long, turn red-purple in autumn. One of the most valuable summer-green rhododendrons. Widely grown in Latvia's landscaped gardens, due to bright yellow flowers, strong and pleasant aroma. Parts of the plant, especially the flowers, are poisonous.
